To compile the 2nd Edition of enCYCLEpedia, we revisited most of the rides included in the 1st Edition during 2017. I made updates where appropriate and added several new rides. Although the maps were already to scale and descriptive, showing the differences between Class I, II and III routes, dirt pathways, and even rideable sidewalks, I beefed many of them up with additional detail and insets. In addition, I swapped out some photos where we took better ones. My whole family absolutely enjoys this book from the very beginning we set off on one of the ride and dine with lunch at a well know pizza place, this book has opens so many great place to travel to here in California.This book is an absolute GEM for cyclist enjoy your rides this book will make your casual rides even more enjoyable
I just finished leafing through the new 2nd Edition of Encyclepedia. I love its selection of “the best†rides at my level with ratings, thorough descriptions, and great maps that are easy to follow. Many of the maps in the 2nd Edition have even more detail than the 1st -- that I was given and used religiously. I like the addition of the Puddingstone Reservoir ride, I’d always wondered about that area, and never even considered riding up Mt Rubidoux in Riverside-- new pics from both of those areas look beautiful. More to explore, loving it! If you know someone like me who loves these kinds of bike rides do them a solid and get it for them.
The rides in this book are easy just like the title says, but the book is hard to follow. I got a few ideas from the book and some of the easy rides can be combined to make for a more challenging day but the book isn't what I was hoping for.
This book has everything I expected. Easy to reference.
