This book is splendid. I inclined such huge numbers of successful things from this book. It is very elegantly composed, pursues a decent direction while clarifying the ideas, makes reference to normal and edge circumstances, ideas are all around isolated, pleasant charts, there are synopses toward the end. It likewise has genuine models as the title proposes. I've been acquainted with Kubernetes before perusing this book, yet this book took it to an unheard of level. I was really astounded by perceiving what number of imperative recommendations accumulated in such a short book. Creator completed a phenomenal activity. The style of writing is bad. I got 20% through the book and decided to return it. I got more out of a 7 minute YouTube video than I got from the first two chapters of this book. The writer has an abundance of words but lacks clarity and content. I don’t know what the other readers who’ve rated this book at 5 stars are seeing. I’ve been coding for 37 years, so it’s not that I lack experience or that this book is above my head.
Fantastic book. Possibly the best tech book I've read this year. It is very well written, follows a good trajectory when explaining the concepts, mentions common and edge situations, concepts are well divided, nice graphs, there are summaries at the end. It also has good examples as the title suggests. I've been familiar with Kubernetes before reading this book, but this book took it to a whole new level.
I have been slogging through a handfull of kubernetes books. This is the one that set my brain straight. Now with the concepts crystalized the other books make sense. Why would I continue to read the others? The book is short and to the point but is missing a lot of details I find elsewhere. Still, READ THIS FIRST, your grey matter will thank you.
I liked the first edition of this book, which covered a lot of the Kubernetes features. It is encouraging to read a book that is written by an actual implementer of systems and not just a theoretical practitioner. There's a lot of new terms and new concepts, but this book gave me a strong foundation. VERY PRACTICAL!!
I am glued to the book through the first chapter. The foundations are covered unlike anywhere I’ve seen. You don’t even need to know about Docker to get started (though knowledge of Linux is useful). The author takes you by the hand and guides you gently through the concepts. Great, clear writing.
I like how the author divides each topic into theory and hands-on -- it gives you a really good understanding of the key concepts along with hands-on experience. I highly recommend it for developers and architects trying to learn Kubernetes!
From soup to nuts, this covers everything and is one of the best written technical guides I've ever seen. But author did not give any practical example. It will be very helpful if its given.
